[And it's really just Miyako crying into the gear. Someone has not been having a very good week... as expected, really.]

I want to go home! I ended up in Saffron City, and I have thirty-four left socks and twenty-six pokéballs when I'm sure I just had eight--I counted!--and I just... This was the worst birthday and the worst week and I hate everything!

[She takes a moment to wipe her eyes with the back of her hand, but her face is nothing but a red mess of tears and sniffles. Even taking a few breaths doesn't work, as she's quick to work herself up again when she starts talking.]

I can't even get to CheepCheep! All I have is this... whatever I caught, and it makes weird laughing sounds every time I take it out. I... I don't want it!

H-how do I get rid of this thing!? I need my party back!

[It clicks on because there is a very, VERY excited Rufflet bouncing at the screen. Or rather, on it, seeing as the little bird type has hopped on the bedside table. It's the pokécenter in Violet, and from the looks of it, the little bird's trainer is definitely awake.

And... actually quite confused. But upon the soft, eager squawking of the Rufflet, Miyako finally turns to look at him and just reaches her arms forward. It bounces over and hops in her lap, and she just pets his feathers, reaching for her glasses. Once she gets those on her face, her hand stretches back out for the gear.]

Jeez, Ruffles, you turned it on. See that light? It's blinking.

[He cooed at her, but after a quick moment of shoving his feathers in her face as some odd, nuzzling display of affection, he bounces back over to the table. However, his talon hits it, and the gear spins right off the table and... behind it. There's a very pretty sight of the wall.]

Ah! Ruffles, what are you doing?! Just sit on the pillow! [More commotion as the girl scrambles out of bed, reaching for the gear--which she accidentally pushes even further over, as seen by the very faint moving of the strip of light above. And in her struggles, there's a sudden loud beep as the little Rufflet accidentally sets off the Nurse Call button, followed by a thud as Miyako smacks her arm and her chin on the floor in surprise.]

Ua! Oww... That hurt... [Whatever. Still going for this gear, which is slowly but steadily moving away with every touch.] And I can't reach it!

[And with the loud commotion of the beeps and a Nurse Joy running into the room to tell her to get back into the bed, the gear times out and ends the connection.]

[There is a long, long moment of Miyako awkward.

She's sitting at the desk in an inn, with three packages and an egg on the wooden surface in front of the gear. And, judging by the uncertain face she's making, she's quite uncomfortable with this.]

So... A few of my friends left this city, and it reminded me that I... have these...

They're from Valentine's day, and, um...

[Gosh, so awkward.]

I talked to a person on the gear the other day. He told a riddle about a man named Mr. Holmes. I... don't really know who it was but, um... I... got you something?

And, um... Ken-ku--Ichijouji-kun...

[She looks away, cheeks burning red.] I... got something for you too.

And this egg! [LA LA SUBJECT CHANGE. With that, she reaches past the three gifts and lifts up a bright red, blue, and white egg.] I'm... Is it mine? It is, right? It's... well, I don't know what it is, but it'll be neat to see when it hatches! It hops sometimes!

...is that natural?

[So it starts outside the familiar city of Ecruteak. After going the unexpectedly short distance to Olivine to get their mopey little friend, they decided on making a pitstop at this city as a bit of shelter from the cold.

...Miyako is obviously using her time wisely. She smiles at the camera.]

Hello, young ladies of Johto!

As you all know, Valentine's Day is coming up, and I've got this friend who's a little down in the dumps. [Or a lot down in the dumps, part of which may be her fault for enabling it. Buuut lol not touching that.] So I figured, because it's valentine's day... Or even a little after!

...but it'd be really nice to find him a girlfriend or someone.

[Yes. She's going to be that blunt. She smiles at the camera.]

I mean... he's young, but he's pretty nice? Very determined. Really cheerful. ...He's got a good head on his shoulders! [She nods to confirm this.]

Here! Let me find him! [And with that, she turns the view over to where she's walking, and the first image is the view of a door of a pokécenter... then inside...
