07 - [Accidental Video]

[Late at night, a Gear turns on upon clattering to the floor. The view, while half blanketed in darkness, shows Miyako sitting up in her bed, shoulders moving up and down as she breathes heavily. She looks panicked for a moment, but upon realizing she's just in her room, she sighs and pushes hair from her face.]

That... stupid bird!

[With a sigh, she glances down at her pillow, trying to find her gear. And upon noticing the empty space, she panics again, quickly pushing her pillow and blanket back before peering on the floor -]

It's on...?

[She picks it up.]

...not like anyone's awake right now anyway... It's late.

[And by late, she means not even one at night. But after midnight, thirteen-year-olds... Sheesh.]

[And here's Hikari in the next bed over, blinking awake herself.]

Miyako-san? Are you okay?

[She sits up, rubbing her eyes a bit as Eevee yawns and just rolls over, staying just as asleep as he was before.]

Oh, I'm sorry, Hikari-chan! I didn't mean to wake you...

[She sighs and looks down at the blankets on her bed, anxiously tracing the outline of her gear.]

[Hikari shook her head.]

It's alright. Are you okay?

[She nods slowly.]

It was just a nightmare. I'm okay.

Remember that time when I was sleeping for a week? I was chased by this giant... demon bird thing... I was dreaming that I was being chased by it again.

[Hikari's eyes widened, and she didn't even bother saying anything. She just got out of bed and moved over to Miyako, putting her arms around the other girl.]

It's alright Miyako-san. You're here now, you're safe.

[Miyako quickly hugged her back, dropping her head on Hikari's shoulder.] I know... It just freaked me out for a little. I hate dreaming about it... It happens so much, I figured I'd be used to it by now.

[Hikari's not going to say anything about that, she's just going to keep hugging Miyako for the moment. The fact it was going on for so long made Hikari a bit upset that she hadn't realized what was going on before though. She and Miyako were best friends, she should've been able to tell that something was wrong.]

[Miyako's comfortable enough in the silent hug. It's late, and she knows there's not much to say, not too much to have conversations on anyway. But after a few moments, she's already gotten comfortable enough to fall asleep on Hikari, so she sits up and shakes her head.]

Hikari-chan, you should go back to sleep. It's still the middle of the night.

[Hikari blinked, pulling away a bit and looking over at Miyako.]

But are you going to be okay?

[She hesitates before answering with just a small nod. She thinks she will be, but she's not fully sure.]

Okay. If you really think you'll be alright...

[She pulls away completely now, moving back over to her bed.]

Night, Miyako-san.

[Forcing a smile, she nods again and sinks back against her own pillows.]

Night, Hikari-chan.

[And with that, she just kind of... stares around the room.]
